  • On March 8, 2016, the NFL world — and especially Detroit — was stunned when Calvin Johnson announced his retirement from football at just 30 years old. In just nine seasons, Johnson had already become one of the greatest wide receivers the league had ever seen. He racked up 11,619 receiving yards, 83 touchdowns, and six Pro Bowl appearances.
