BREAKING NEWS: THE TITANS HAVE ADDED MORE DEPTH AT RUNNING BACK!

The Tennessee Titans have officially signed former 49ers and Eagles running back Tyrion Davis-Price to a two-year deal, according to his agency, Elite Loyalty Sports. While Davis-Price’s NFL résumé may seem modest—43 carries for 127 yards over three seasons—this move signals Tennessee’s ongoing effort to build depth and foster competition in a backfield that’s entering a new era.

Davis-Price was a third-round pick out of LSU in 2022, known for his size, power, and downhill running style. Though he never found a consistent role in San Francisco’s crowded backfield, the Titans see untapped potential in the 23-year-old. His physicality and SEC pedigree align well with Tennessee’s traditionally run-heavy identity, even as the offense evolves under a new coaching regime.

With Derrick Henry no longer in Nashville, the Titans are clearly exploring multiple options to fill the void. Davis-Price joins a backfield group full of unproven but intriguing talent. Rookie UDFAs Micah Bernard (Utah) and Kalel Mullings (Michigan) are hoping to impress in training camp, while Julius Chestnut returns for another shot at carving out a more stable role.

The addition of Davis-Price raises the level of competition across the board. It’s a low-risk, potentially high-reward move that could pay off if he’s able to tap into the promise he showed in college. While he’s not guaranteed a roster spot, he brings experience and hunger to a young and fluid position group.

Expect a tough battle for carries this summer, with every rep in OTAs, minicamp, and preseason games carrying weight. The Titans’ backfield remains wide open—and Davis-Price now has a real opportunity to prove he belongs.
