Today I share news that’s been deeply considered and emotionally charged: I will be stepping away from Hendrick Motorsports at the conclusion of this season. This decision isn’t simply a change in contracts—it’s the end of a defining era in my life, and it shakes the foundations of everything NASCAR fans have come to expect.

Joining Hendrick as a rising young driver, I inherited more than a ride—I inherited legacy. Rick Hendrick’s organization taught me excellence, resilience, and the power of teamwork. With Marietta cheering, the garage buzzing, and fans chanting my name, I forged victories, claimed a championship—and became more than just a driver. I became part of a racing family.

So when I say that leaving Hendrick “rocks NASCAR,” I mean that in every sense. It’s seismic. It reshuffles the competitive landscape, opens eras of possibility, and invites new narratives. It signals a bold step toward transformation, not just for me, but for an entire sport that thrives on evolution.

To my teammates, crew chiefs, crew members—your dedication powered every win and podium. You carried me through triumph and trial, and I will forever cherish those bonds.

To fans—your loyalty granted me purpose. You fueled me on Sundays and carried me through long nights. Carry our shared memories forward with pride.

As one chapter ends, a new one awakens. I’ll be racing under a new banner—one that challenges me, excites me, and honors the foundation laid at Hendrick. I step forward ready to push harder, dream bigger, and continue writing my legacy. NASCAR, here we go again.
