“Hey, Bowman. That was… something out there today. You gave me a little nudge in Turn 8. Intentional or just tight racing?”
Alex Bowman:
“Yeah, man, it got real tight. Wasn’t trying to rough you up—just trying to hold my line. Street courses don’t leave much room for error, or friends.”
Bubba Wallace:
laughs “No kidding. I was skating through those corners like it was an ice rink. Figured you’d be coming, just didn’t expect the love tap.”
Alex Bowman:
“Fair. Honestly, you were holding your own. I saw your line tightening up and didn’t want to wait another lap to make a move. Racing instinct took over.”
Bubba Wallace:
“All good. I get it. Just make sure next time you at least buy me dinner before you hit me like that.”
Alex Bowman:
laughs “Deal. As long as you don’t block me all the way down the straight again like you did on Lap 22.”
Bubba Wallace:
“Touché. But that’s racing. We push, we rub, we talk it out after. We good?”
Alex Bowman:
“We’re good, Bubba. Just don’t expect it to get any easier next week.”
