Riggs, who has shown consistent growth and competitiveness throughout the season, was frustrated by the circumstances that led to the poor finish. According to post-race comments, an issue with the truck—potentially related to mechanical failure or a miscommunication in pit strategy—hampered his ability to remain competitive late in the race.
The young driver was visibly upset, not only by the result but by what he considered an avoidable situation. “We had a solid truck. The team gave me a machine that could run top-15 or better, and then something out of our control ruined the day,” Riggs said. “It’s frustrating when you know the potential is there, but the final result doesn’t show it.”
