Cam Ward’s 2024 PFF passing grades highlight why he’s one of the most exciting quarterback prospects entering the NFL. With a 92.5 overall offensive grade (1st among all qualifying FBS QBs) and a 91.3 passing grade (2nd), Ward showcased elite consistency and efficiency throughout the season.
He was particularly dominant against zone coverage, posting a staggering 96.3 grade (1st). His anticipation and ability to throw to space before receivers come out of their breaks is advanced and should translate well to the NFL. Ward’s intelligence and adaptability also shine on first reads, where he earned a 93.0 grade (1st). He was given freedom at the line of scrimmage to change reads or audibles based on pre-snap looks, and his ability to process defensive intent and exploit weaknesses made him a surgical passer.
Ward also graded highest (91.8) in non-play action situations, underscoring his comfort in the quick game—especially critical since Miami rarely had him under center. That skill set could be a strong fit in Brian Callahan’s evolving Titans offense, particularly if more RPO concepts are introduced.
Two more standout metrics: a 95.7 grade on 10+ yard throws and 90.1 on throws under 2.5 seconds. These reflect Ward’s ability to push the ball downfield while remaining quick and decisive. His ability to change arm angles and maintain accuracy in tight windows is NFL-ready.
Ward’s tape shows high-end traits and leadership. He’s humble, accountable, and ready to grow—Titans fans have reason to be excited
