23XI Racing co-owner Denny Hamlin didn’t hold back when addressing expectations for the team he co-founded with NBA legend Michael Jordan. Speaking candidly about performance, Hamlin emphasized that the organization has the tools and talent to be a consistent contender—and that underachievement is no longer acceptable. “I need all my cars winning at some point,” Hamlin stated. “There are just too many resources, too many good people over there not to win more races.”
23XI Racing, which currently fields cars for Bubba Wallace and Tyler Reddick, has shown flashes of competitiveness since its debut in 2021. Reddick has visited victory lane, and Wallace has made deep playoff pushes, but Hamlin believes the team’s results should be more consistent given the investment behind it.
With backing from Toyota, state-of-the-art facilities, and a growing roster of skilled engineers and personnel, 23XI is positioned to be a top-tier team. But Hamlin’s remarks underscore the urgency to translate potential into trophies. “We’ve got everything we need—people, equipment, manufacturer support. Now it’s about execution,” he added.
Hamlin, a veteran driver and co-owner of one of the sport’s most ambitious teams, is known for his high standards. His call for more wins isn’t just pressure—it’s a statement of belief in the program he’s helped build. As the season progresses, his message sets a clear tone: success is expected, not optional.
