BREAKING: ” Bubba Wallace can’t get good results, and the playoffs are getting closer. Will he miss out?

With the NASCAR playoffs fast approaching, Bubba Wallace finds himself in a familiar but frustrating position—on the bubble. Despite flashes of speed and talent throughout the 2025 season, consistency has once again eluded the 23XI Racing driver. Wallace has struggled to capitalize on strong qualifying runs, with race-day execution often falling short due to pit road mistakes, strategy misfires, or getting caught up in late-race incidents. As a result, his points standing remains precarious, and a playoff berth is anything but guaranteed.

Wallace, now in his fifth full-time Cup Series season, has made strides both on and off the track. But in a sport where results define legacy, his lack of wins this year—and only one career Cup victory to date—raises questions. Has the team hit a ceiling? Is Wallace still developing, or has he plateaued?

To make the playoffs, Wallace either needs to win in the next few races or hope for a series of consistent top-10 finishes coupled with misfortune for drivers around the playoff bubble. Neither path is easy. The competition is fierce, with surprise winners already shaking up the points landscape. Each week brings more urgency—and more pressure.

Still, writing off Wallace completely would be premature. He’s shown he can perform under pressure, as seen in his 2023 playoff appearance. The 23XI team, backed by Denny Hamlin and Michael Jordan, has the resources and talent to turn things around quickly.

But time is running out. Without a breakthrough moment soon, Bubba Wallace may find himself on the outside looking in—again. And while potential is promising, the Cup Series rewards performance. Wallace needs more than speed right now. He needs results.
